When selecting beneficiaries for international assistance programs, prioritized most vulnerable groups such as fatherless families, pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, the disabled and the elderly.
Incorporated a session on protecting pregnant women and nursing mothers into trainings for Red Cross Disaster Relief Teams.
At the time of a big earthquake in Kumamoto in April 2016, provided health support activities for mothers, children and those who need special assistance in evacuation centers.
Under the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami recovery program, provided psychosocial support for the most vulnerable people including the elderly.
Conducted training courses on the support for the elderly in disaster.
