Through advocacy efforts the Swedish Red Cross is helping to mobilize around the most of the issues addressed in the resolution, for example to ensure support and health for victims.

The Swedish Red Cross has been active in the Swedish Government’s working group on the implementation on UNSC Resolution 1325 and through that group it has been able to highlight related key issues addressed in the IC32 resolution.

Swedish Red Cross provides rehabilitation services for survivors of torture and persons traumatized as a result of armed conflicts or similar experiences. Victims of sexual and gender-based violence are offered treatment at these centres. Swedish Red Cross is also advocating for better access to specialized health services for men, women, boys and girls affected.
