Organized disaster preparedness educational programs for adults in several Chapters as a pilot program.
Conducted training of trainers (staff and volunteers) on disaster preparedness educational programs.
Developed trainers’ manual for organizing a Red Cross Disaster Preparedness Seminar.
Developed disaster preparedness educational textbook for schoolchildren, focusing on protecting lives for preparing disasters. The textbooks were provided to all elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools in Japan, and received with high appreciation by teachers. For the moment, 26% of the schools use the textbook.
