In international relations Finland supports (e.g. in WHO) all actions which aim to safeguard the safety of health care and health care personnel both in normal and in emergency conditions.

Health security in Finland was assessed by WHO in its Joint External Evaluation process in March 2016.

Finland is currently drafting its national implementation plan for improving the health security. Furthermore Finland is actively participating in international cooperation to reinforce biosafety.
