Combating Sexual and Gender Based Violence

Georgia undertakes to ensure that personnel of the Armed Forces, including personnel participating in international operations before their deployment, are trained on UN SC resolution 1325 and follow up resolutions, zero-tolerance towards sexual abuse, gender equality.

Action plan

• Special trainings of personnel participating in international operations before their deployment on UN SC resolution 1325 and follow up resolutions, zero-tolerance towards sexual abuse, gender equality;
• Special trainings in the National Defence Academy on UN SC resolution 1325 and follow up resolutions, zero-tolerance towards sexual abuse, gender equality;
• Special trainings of personnel of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces on UN SC resolution 1325 and follow up resolutions, zero-tolerance towards sexual abuse, gender equality;
• Strengthening of system of Gender advisors within system of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces.
