The DRC has in particular been implementing on the prevention and support to victims chapters.

SGBV is an element of the DRC's international strategy. We are part of the Movement's SGBV network. We have supported the Movement's psycosocial reference centre's development of an educational module on SGBV (psycosocial support for people affected by SGBV) as well as educational activities in connection with psycosocial programmes in particular in the MENA region. We are providing input to the development of a SGBV module for the IFRC's seven moves gender and diversity training. Some input has been provided to a study of the inclusion of SGBV in national disaster legislation. In general, the DRC has a strong focus on sexual and reproductive health care, including for victims of SGBV.

Lack of resources and internal prioritisation. In certain implemeting countries, there is a culture of silence around SGBV.

It is important that the resources assigned are maintained and strengthened.
