Slovenian RC supports internationally guided efforts in order to respect emblem thus ensuring safety of RC/RC staff and volunteers in dangerous, life threatening situations by participating at various events and by informing internal and external public in Slovenia on importance of the emblems and harsh consequences ignorance of it has in dangerous situations.

Special task force was established at the SRC HQ in order for promotion and strengthening of FP and IHL, preparing training and events both for internal (Local Branch secretaries) and external (media, authorities) public.

There is Law on the SRC, which states both - infringements and sanctions in the case of them. The Slovenian Penal Code (KZ-1) criminalises Article 102, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code. Violations of the laws and customs that are used in international armed conflicts under applicable international law. These violations include, inter alia, the KZ-1 indication of legitimate signs: - the abuse of a white flag or flag or military mark or uniform of an enemy or of the United Nations, a flag or flag of the Red Cross or signs corresponding to it and other distinguishing signs under the Geneva Conventions Or the marking of cultural goods under the Hague Convention.

Slovenian RC continued with implementation of its regular activities in the field of disseminating basic knowledge regarding RC/RC Movement and IHL to the special focus groups, such as lectures at the training for special response teams in the cases of natural disasters and other complex emergencies.

The cooperation of SRC was held with Ministry of Health and other government departments continuously at regular meetings and also with the non-governmental organizations, which are regularly included in that field. This is particularly valid for emergencies such as the recent migrant crisis (2015-2016).
