1. What support did the ICRC, IFRC provide to National Societies for increasing safety and security of volunteers?
Insurance system, training, Provision of protective equipment

2. What activities has the IFRC/ICRC undertaken to facilitate partnerships towards strengthening the safety and security of volunteers?

ICRC conducts safer access assessment and planning workshop both for National Societies and the partner national societies. It encourage and mobilize Movement partners to support the the SAF plan of action of the NS

3. What measures did IFRC/ICRC take to ensure that volunteers have adequate insurance or equivalent “safety net” assistance with regard to death, injury, sickness or trauma they may endure while carrying out their duties?

A field instruction was issued to Delegations on how ICRC can support NS for the insurance of their volunteers either through Federation system or local insurance companies. Some Delegations provided a budget for NS volunteer insurance
