For the years 2016-2019, the Australian Government hereby pledges:

  • To review whether to accede to or ratify the International Criminal Court Privileges and Immunities Agreement, the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, the First and Second Protocols to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, and the amendments to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

 


Action plan

  • Accede to the International Criminal Court Privileges and Immunities Agreement, following passage of the necessary domestic regulations to implement Australia’s obligations under the Agreement.
  • Consider acceding to the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance;
  • Consider acceding to the First and Second Protocols to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict; and
  • Consider ratifying the amendments to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court adopted at the Kampala Review Conference 2010.
