Disaster Risk Reduction

The Government of Rwanda and the Rwandan Red Cross Society jointly pledge to cooperate in raising public awareness about the rights and responsibilities of individuals, government and others under the law when it comes to disaster risk reduction, and to cooperate in the development of provisions of policy empowering communities and vulnerable people to participate in decision-making about disaster risk management activities.
