Dissemination of IHL among the young generation

Austria and the Austrian Red Cross hereby pledge:

– to reconfirm our commitment to the joint pledges from 2007 and 2011 on the dissemination of International Humanitarian Law, to promote the knowledge of IHL within young generation.

– to integrate „Exploring Humanitarian Law“ into the field of human rights education, as well as into the program of basic and advanced teachers training at the teacher training college using the German version of „Exploring Humanitarian Law“, developed by ICRC.

Action plan

EHL integration into the basic and advanced teachers training at the teacher training college, as well as intensified implementation of EHL workshops for students in secondary schools.
