Consultation with members

During the preparatory process, ongoing dialogue and consultations between members of the Conference and others is important to build understanding around the objectives and thereby to securing positive consensus outcomes, as well as to ensuring that these outcomes reflect and feed into wider humanitarian debates.

Consultation on agenda/concept

The concept note/draft provisional agenda were shared with members in December. Comments and feedback received by 20 February 2015 fed into the provisional draft agenda circulated in April 2015.

Consultation on draft resolutions

Drafts of the resolution outcomes will be made available for consultation and comments:

Consultation events

These in-person consultations include a number of regional conferences held by the International Federation with its National Societies, briefings to the permanent missions and to the Group of Ambassadors formed for the 32nd International Conference, as well as various other meetings as reflected in the timeline.

The Group of Ambassadors is created as an advisory group to assist the organisers in the preparation of the Conference. For the first time, this group is open to the Geneva-based ambassadors of all interested State members of the Conference. The primary function of the group is to provide guidance on political and strategic questions arising in the preparation of and during the 32nd International Conference.
